Being a member of the Tombstone Restoration Commission has been a wonderful experience. The behind-the-scenes tours are fascinating and have given me a whole new appreciation for the incredible craftsmanship that went into these historic buildings. I feel like I'm part of something bigger than myself—helping to preserve a unique piece of American history.
My wife and I joined at the Frontier Family level three years ago, and it's been one of the best decisions we've made. Our grandchildren love visiting Tombstone and learning about the Wild West through the family activities and special events. The TRC staff are so knowledgeable and passionate about the town's history, and it's contagious! We've already convinced several friends to join.
As a history teacher from Tucson, I initially joined as a Student Member while completing my graduate studies. The resources and connections I've gained through TRC have been invaluable for my classroom teaching. I've since upgraded to a Silver Star membership and bring my students each year. Watching them connect with history in such a tangible way is incredibly rewarding.
As an Earp Legacy Circle member, I feel privileged to directly contribute to specific restoration projects. The quarterly updates showing the progress of my "adopted" building—the Crystal Palace Saloon—give me enormous satisfaction. The exclusive events and recognition are nice perks, but knowing I'm helping to preserve Tombstone for future generations is the real reward.
