Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! Volunteers are vital to our preservation efforts. We offer opportunities ranging from assisting with tours and events to participating in hands-on restoration work (for those with applicable skills). Some volunteers help with archival research, gift shop operations, or administrative tasks. To get involved, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Robert Jenkins, at volunteer@tombstonerestoration.org or complete our online volunteer application. We provide training for all volunteer positions and can accommodate various schedules and interests.

Our main office, museum, and gift shop are fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps at entrances and an elevator to all floors. We've worked to make many of our restored historic buildings accessible while maintaining their historical integrity, though some limitations exist due to the nature of 1880s architecture. Our public tours can be modified to accommodate mobility devices—please let us know in advance if you require accessible routes. We also offer virtual tours of areas that may be difficult to access physically. We're committed to making Tombstone's history accessible to everyone and welcome suggestions for improving accessibility.

We strive to respond to all inquiries within 1-2 business days. During peak tourist season (October-April) or around special events, response times may be slightly longer. For urgent matters, we recommend calling our main office at (520) 555-1234 during regular business hours.

Yes! We offer public tours of our completed and ongoing restoration projects every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 10AM and 2PM. Tours last approximately 90 minutes and are led by our knowledgeable docents. The cost is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and military, and $8 for students. TRC members receive free or discounted tours depending on membership level. Reservations are recommended, especially during peak season. Private group tours are also available by arrangement.

We welcome donations of historical items, photographs, documents, and period-appropriate building materials that relate to Tombstone's history. Please contact our Curator, Sarah Wilkinson, at archives@tombstonerestoration.org with a description and photos of the items you wish to donate. Our collections committee reviews potential donations to ensure they align with our mission and preservation needs. Due to limited storage space, we cannot accept all items, but we can often help connect donors with other appropriate heritage organizations if we cannot accept a donation.
